**What is a biome? - Biomes are the different type of environments in the game. There are currently three different types of biomes, the swamp, the steppes, and the mountains. Two more will be added before final beta, the Highlands and the Forest.
- Swamp - This is the home of the Undead, but it also contains Heretics. It is heavy in fiber, but also contains wood and hide. There are three different types which are green swamps (Tier I-IV), red swamps (Tier V-VI), and dead swamps (Tier VII-VIII).
- Steppe - This is where you will find Morgana's forces in forts (Tier IV-VIII), but it also contains Heretics. It is heavy in hide, but also contains fiber and ore although ore is the rarest. There are three different types which are green steppes (Tier I-IV), red steppes (Tier V-VI), and dead steppes (Tier VII-VIII).
- Mountain - This is where you'll find the castles of Morgana's forces, but it also contains Heretics. It is heavy in ore and stone, but ore is the most common resource. Fiber is also found in the mountains, although it is the most rare. There are three different types which are green mountains (Tier I-IV), red mountains (Tier V-VI), and dead mountains (Tier VII-VIII).
- Highlands - As with every biome, the Heretics will be your first enemies when you first enter the highlands as an inexperienced adventurer.
Once you venture deeper into the highlands, you will encounter the Keepers of Albion, giant humans that have been part of Albion for as long as history has been recorded. They are one with the nature around them, and despise colonist and their civilization. Stone is very common here with ore being found a descent amount as well. Wood is also found rarely. There are three different types which are green highlands (Tier I-IV), red highlands (Tier V-VI), and dead highlands (Tier VII-VIII).
Explore their dungeons to get your hands on the powerful Keeper Artifacts!
- Forest - The crazy Heretics have made camp in the safer parts of Albion, including some of the Forests’ green zones. They have built wooden camps and dug out quarries to protect themselves and their underground mines from harm.
The main faction in the forests, however, are the ancient Keepers of Albion. Unlike the Heretics they use the natural environment to set up base, settling near sacred mammoth trees. The only rock and wood used to fortify their defenses has been found on the ground, as the Keepers would never harm Mother Nature. This biome is heavy in wood, but also has a lot of hide, with a small amount of stone as well. There are three different types which are green forests (Tier I-IV), red forests (Tier V-VI), and dead forests (Tier VII-VIII).
**If my mount dies while riding is it permanently gone? - No, but you will dismount.
**How do I get a mount? - Legendary founders start with a mount. If you aren't a founder, you must start by becoming a Journeyman Adventurer. This is 1 Tier above the starting Tier when you look at the destiny board. It requires a Journeyman Horse which you get from your island and 20 thick leather. Read below OR watch video!
Step 1.) Buy Island. You can buy this from any major city in the game. You will only be able to access it from that city though so place it carefully! Step 2.) Make a Farm and plant enough carrots on it to get your entry level farming up enough to be able to buy a foal from the merchant. Step 3.) Upgrade island to level 2 and put a pasture on it and put the foal on it, feed it, and nurture and you will have a T3 horse and another foal you can reuse the following day. Step 4.) Take the horse and 20 refined leather to a saddler (found in any major city or you can build one) and create your mount. |
**What is the icon around the Tier mean on gear? - The gear is shown in order from a normal (worst), good, outstanding, excellent and masterpiece (best). The better the quality, the better the stats on the gear.
NOTE: The graphics have slightly changed from beta to live.

**How do personal islands work? - You can purchase a personal island from any major city near the auction house. The island allows you to build buildings and farm plots. This is how you start getting food and the items necessary to get your mount. Once you set up your island in a city you cannot move it without losing everything! If you upgrade your island in one city than decide to move it to another city the upgrades do not go with you. You can only have one island.
**What are these circles? - These circles mark resources that are uncommon, rare, or exceptional (not pictures). These start at Tier 4 but you also have to be 1 tier above what they actually are to loot them. They allow you to craft gear with better stats.
NOTE: If you have Tier V gear with uncommon resources you may see people in chat calling this 5.1, rare gear being 5.2, exceptional gear being 5.3.

**How does reputation work? - Killing certain stuff gives reputation. Certain PvPing like PvPing in Yellow/Red zones causes reputation loss. See image to the left to see what reputation does. It places certain icons next to your name depending on what your reputation is. When you kill someone with a higher reputation, you lose more reputation in red/yellow zones.
NOTE: This image is from Beta and is subject to change. |
**How does attacking work? - You must fist attack someone during the time of the zone using a warcamp. After the attack is made each guild has 1 day to prepare for a GvG, if you are attacking the main territory you have to win more than one GvG to take over the territory. If your territory is taken the only way to get your gear back is to retake the territory. The red arrows in the picture indicates territories under attack.

**Are blue dungeons meant for a group? - Yes, you should at least go into these with at least 1 tank, 1 healer, and 1 dps if not 2-3 dps. There are also raid dungeons meant for 10-12 people as shown below.
**What are Hellgates? - Hellgates spawn randomly throughout the world depending on players and activity. They are guarded by a gatekeeper Demon. Once you kill the demon five people can enter the spawned Hellgate. Upon entering you will fight against the demonic hordes and once you have reached the end you will fight a boss Demon. He will net you his souls upon killing him which is a new resource in Albion. If you take to long to clear the Hellgate dungeon you will be ported back to the main world. Be careful though, Hellgate portals can lead you into a dungeon that already has five other players in it or could lead you to one and have five players spawn in yours.

**What are the different type of PvP zones? - Yellow Zones are near towns, Red zones are a little farther out, and black zones you must take the Wharf to.
